December 17, 2009 – Lund and Company Invention, L.L.C. hosted the Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Chicagoland Holiday Party on Saturday, December 12, 2009, for the 20th straight year in a row! As antique sleigh bells jingled a magical cadence, the kids lined up to sit on Santa’s lap and receive a toy, many of which had been designed by Lund and Company Invention! As is the custom, each child was greeted by name by Santa, and whether they still believed in Santa or not, all of the children were all delighted that Santa knew them!
Our cherished hope is to create a moment of magic for each child at this event, where they are confirmed in their belief in Santa (and the Elves), and that there is still magic in a world that can be harsh for many of these children. We want them to believe in that moment at least, to feel cherished, cared for, knowing that Santa really does know their name, cares about them, remembers them, and watches over them. It is an honor and a privilege to step into the lives of these children, for even one brief moment each year.

Please Note: Allow us to offer our sincere ‘Thank you’ to all who so generously donated toys and games for the kids this year, and in past years. You are our heroes!
